The troop of three initially tried to get into one vehicle outside a Hialeah convenience store but the woman locked herself in the car so they decided to try another — that was a big mistake. In the second hijack attempt, two kids were in the backseat of the car; when the mother of the two saw what was going on, she did not hesitate to spring into action.
She grabbed the man who was getting into the driver’s seat and literally threw him from her car. A nearby police officer saw them speed from the scene and chased them down. The three suspects were arrested and have been charged with attempted carjacking and fleeing police.
