The number of fake attacks by Trump supporters continue to grow. The blame belongs to Trump supporters who apparently refuse to attack Hillary supporters. In this case, a female student at Bowling Green said she was assaulted by three Trump supporters who attacked her and called her racist names. After she posted about the attack, the student body grew scared since it’s an ultra-liberal campus. Her problems started when her father was unable to contact her and went to the university to find her.
Eleesha Long was taken to the police station to file a complaint which she had not done on her own, and for a very good reason. It didn’t take the police long to determine she was lying and get a confession out of her as she kept changing her story including by whom, where and when. She has now been charged with filing a false police report.
The university sent out a statement on the incident:
A message from Thomas J. Gibson, Ed.D.
Vice President for Student Affairs and Vice Provost:
Dear Students,
I want to update you on the status of the investigations of the two alleged assaults that were reported over the last two weeks. You may recall that last week a student reported that she was assaulted on Crim Street near campus. On Tuesday, a student reported that he was attacked behind the Student Recreation Center. Investigations by the Bowling Green Police Departmentand the BGSU Police Department have revealed that neither of these incidents occurred as reported.
Filing a false report is a serious offense. In addition to any charges by police, students may be held accountable under the student code of conduct.
Our campuses and their surrounding communities are by-and-large safe places with very low crime rates. I hope the resolution of these alleged incidents helps to begin to restore a sense of security.
At the same time, I want to be clear that this does not absolve us from continuing our important dialogue on diversity and inclusion. As President Mazey has indicated, we must be ever vigilant in ensuring that there is no place for racism, sexism, homophobia, intolerance or other bias at Bowling Green State University. There are members of our community who do not feel safe. That is unacceptable.
If you experience or witness a bias incident you should Report It!
I also encourage you to join us at noon today for the Not In Our Town Peace March as we come together to reaffirm our pledge that hate will not be tolerated in our community.
Sincerely,
Thomas J. Gibson, Ed.D.
Vice President for Student Affairs and Vice Provost
After facing court proceedings, she could face discipline from Bowling Green University also.
