Democrats Have Full-Blown Tantrum, Throw Themselves on House Floor Like Toddlers

House Democrats took to the floor – literally – to stage a sit-in over gun control on Wednesday.

Led by “a longtime lawmaker and civil rights icon” Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), the Party of Debt, Dependency, and Detroit staged the sit-in to block legislative business and demand that Republican leaders allow “long overdue” votes on gun-control measures.

Lewis said:

“Sometimes you have to do something out of the ordinary. Sometimes you have to make a way out of no way. We have been too quiet for too long. There comes a time when you have to say something, when you have to make a little noise, when you have to move your feet. This is the time. Now is the time to get in the way. The time to act is now. We will be silent no more.”

Lewis was joined by several of his colleagues who don’t have anything better to do but sit on the House floor and pitch a collective temper tantrum on the issue. Numbers increased to  “nearly 100” as the group occupied the floor for several hours (and counting). The Dem sit-in was to protest the lack of gun control votes held in the aftermath of the Orlando shootings earlier this month.

Lewis asked where the moral leadership and courage of House leadership is on “common sense” gun control legislation. Whatever that means. “Let us vote!” he demanded.  He said he was on the House floor to demand action, “Now! Today!”

When House Democrats will stage sit-ins over the utter failure of Obamanian policies to keep Americans safe and demand “terrorist control” remains unclear.
