We may be having a heat wave, but that is no excuse for a South Carolina man who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint while wearing only a bandana over his face and took only Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. The man said nothing and hurt no one. Police were unable to catch the naked man.
According to Fox Carolina,
HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A man wearing nothing but a bandana over his face and shoes on his feet robbed a convenience store near Myrtle Beach of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups at gunpoint last week, according to a police report.
At about 11:50 p.m. on Monday, August 22, an Horry County Police officer responded to the Scotchman at 1202 Port Drive, off Highway 17 Bypass near Farrow Parkway.
The clerk told police that a naked man came into the store with a gun in his hand and pointed it at him while running towards the candy. The clerk said the man took Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and left, without approaching him or saying anything. The clerk said the man was naked, with a bandana over his face and black shoes on.
The officer was unable to locate the suspect. The Scotchman did have video surveillance of the incident, but it was not available at the time of the police report.
This guy really wanted those peanut butter cups! He was willing to hold someone at gunpoint to get candy. What was he thinking? And why was he naked? We will never know the true story behind this crime but since no one was hurt, it makes a great story. Perhaps that is all the naked man was after in the first place.
