Although the lamestream press has made much all year of a brokered republican convention, it turns out that everything they predicted is coming true, except it’s the democrats in trouble and not republicans. Trump will have well over 100 delegates (Could easily be 150 or 200) more than needed to garner the nomination. Hillary may not receive the nomination on the first ballot. She will not have enough pledged delegates to win the nomination, so it will come down to the super delegates and with all of her baggage, many democrats are beginning to question whether she can win. To place even more pressure on the super delegates, 20,000 Bernie supporters have committed to protesting Hillary at the convention.
Doug Schoen, a long time democratic pollster and operative wrote an op ed piece, in which he says that if Bernie wins California, Hillary could be denied the nomination. This would seem to be especially true since reporters at both the Huffington Post and the New York Times have reported that the FBI plans to recommend RICO charges against Hillary Clinton. Those charges stem from favors provided by Hillary as Secretary of State and money collected through the Clinton Foundation. Much of it funneled through the Canadian Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership, which does not have to disclose where the money canme from.
The main crimes that Clinton could be charged with are public corruption, bribery and money laundering. Any super delegate would be rolling the dice should they vote for Hillary. It’s also true that those same super delegates have huge reservations about Bernie Sanders, but the goal could be to deny both candidates the nomination and then bring in Joe Biden as a white knight to save the party.
More than twenty thousand people have committed to protest Hillary Clinton’s likely nomination at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia — and that number is quickly growing.
The protesters are united in their support for Bernie Sanders, as well as their opposition to “a fraudulent Hillary nomination,” according to the group’s website.
Their leaders have set up a Facebook group — titled Occupy DNC Convention — to organize housing and transportation.
Protesters are encouraged to read documents shared within the group. One document is titled “Civil Disobedience Training.” Another is titled “Health and Safety at Militant Actions” and includes tips on first-aid and withstanding teargas.
Have your popcorn ready, folks. It could be a very entertaining convention.
