A Muslim group backed by George Soros has announced its endorsement for Joe Biden, according to Free Beacon.
The same group hosts conferences that drew speakers who called homosexuality a “disease” and defended terrorist groups.
Emgage, which is one of the largest Muslim PAC in the country, announced that it would switch its endorsement from Bernie Sanders to Joe Biden on Thursday.
The group invoked Biden’s promises to end Trump’s travel bans, increase the refugee admissions cap, and overhaul the immigration system.
Biden reportedly said he was “honored” to receive the endorsement.
Emgage has collaborated with a Muslim Brotherhood groups that openly oppose LGBT rights and supported terror groups.
In 2018, ISNA hosted a conference with speakers who openly endorsed anti-LGBT rights, claiming it was a “disease” that will “destroy your children.”
Another, former ISNA president Muzammil Siddiqi, said he “supported laws in countries where homosexuality is punishable by death.”
ISNA has disinvited pro-LGBT groups Muslims for Progressive Values and the Human Rights Campaign, because they “don’t fit in.”
Khalid Griggs, a member who spoke on the panel with Billoo, referred to al Qaeda as the “presumed perpetrators” of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and said the U.S. government used the tragedy to wage war on “legitimate resistance fighters” in the Middle East.
Zahra Billoo, Council on American-Islamic Relations executive, defended Hamas and refers to Israel as an “apartheid state.”
Anti-Israel activist Linda Sarsour, called for a violent “intifada” in the United States in 2004.
Sarsour spoke during a panel and warned attendees against “humanizing” Israelis.
In 2019, Emgage Action, the group’s nonprofit arm, received roughly $1 million from the Open Society Policy Center, Soros’s lobbying shop.
