Watch what happens when U.S. soldiers are under fire from the enemy Taliban off on a hillside. The video from American Heroes Channel explains that footage was shot in a war zone and that “images and language are real and extremely graphic.” Viewer discretion is advised.
The description notes: “US soldiers take fire from a nearby ridge. An airstrike is called in to remove the threat.”
In the video, CSM Chris Fields is heard saying, “Sir, I got a little bit of movement in the little tertiary valley to the left.” Lt Col Joel Vowell responds, “There’s movement up there?” Fields confirms, saying, “There’s three dudes.”
A shot is taken as one soldier says, “That shot right through us, right here.” CSM Fields holds up the bullet confirming it was just shot, saying, “It’s a Dishka round,” adding, “still warm.”
It’s further explained that they were shot at from the hillside. Fields says, “Let’s get it on!” as they prepare to retaliate. He adds, “Come on! Let’s go! Get it up and fire! Come on, gunner. You’ve got to be quicker than that. Get that b**ch hot.”
He further directs his team and they find out that one person has been injured and reporting they are okay. One soldier remarks, “It’s not gonna be okay, they don’t know what’s about to hit them.”
And then the air strike hits, with Lt Col Joel Vowell commenting: “That will teach them to shoot at my soldiers.” It’s not over just yet, as a cloud of smoke billows in the distance and another strike is seen.
