I confess, I made it through most of the pre primary season with it in mind that Ted Cruz was my man and that I would support him all the way. Then I began paying attention to what he was saying and what he was doing or had done and I slowly fell out of love with him, when it became apparent he was a man of dishonor, whose advancement was the only concern on his mind.
Let’s start with the TPA. Ted Cruz was for the TPA righht up until he realized how unpopular it was and he quickly switched allegiance . Fast forward to 1:56:
Yet later, he would say that he opposed the TPA from it’s inception. Who do you believe? Cruz or your lying ears and eyes?
Ted Cruz was for tripling the number of H-1B visas being issued each year, but when he was soundly criticized by notable conservatives such as Michelle Malkin:
“You’ve got Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio and even Ted Cruz, to my disappointment, who want to do everything from double to triple to quintuple — in Ted Cruz’s case — the number of H-1B visas that are available to these largely offshore outsourcing companies from India. That is nuts.”
The heat got to him and he backed down and took the position that he should have taken in the first place.
Ted Cruz supported giving 11 million illegal aliens work permits. He was against a pathway to citizenship, but he proposed an amendment that mirrored what Obama later tried to do with executive orders. Deny them citizenship, but issue them work permits making them capable of competing with Americans and legal immigrants for jobs:
He later said he offered the amendment as a poison pill. For you Rubio supporters:
I have some land in Florida for sale. It’s surrounded by water…………..on all six sides.
Remember when Rubio was telling his donors, he could win the nomination in a brokered convention? Cruz stepped forward and took a principled stand against a brokered convention:
“Any time you hear someone talking about a brokered convention, it is the Washington establishment in a fevered frenzy, they are really frustrated because all their chosen candidates, their golden children, the voters keep rejecting.”
