[WATCH] Megyn Kelly Shuts Down Liberal Actor After He Accuses Fox News Of Being Racist

Fox News host Megyn Kelly doesn’t let people get away with wiggling away from the truth, and she showed a recent guest on her show that she wouldn’t be pushed around by race-baiting rhetoric.

Actor D.L. Hughley appeared on Fox News’ “The Kelly File” on Wednesday to discuss recent police-involving shootings and race relations in the United States. But the liberal actor wasted no time jumping straight to accusations of racism.

If Hughley thought he could get away with calling Fox News “racist” on Kelly’s show, he was mistaken. Kelly shut down his racist argument over and over again before the segment ended on a heated note.

Hughley’s segment followed former LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman, who pointed out the inconsistencies in the accounts surrounding the police-involved shooting death of Philando Castile in Minnesota.

Fuhrman and Kelly discussed how Castile’s girlfriend had given inconsistent stories about what happened and how people in some communities automatically assumed that Castile was shot because he was a black man.

Hughley disagreed with Fuhrman, and though Kelly tried to keep the conversation steered toward discussing the facts of the Minnesota shooting, the actor wasn’t interested in talking about the facts.

His position was that cops are unfairly given a “presumption of innocence,” that they don’t deserve and that other people don’t receive — something Kelly pointed out was untrue because the law gives everyone that same presumption.

Kelly also noted that, when it comes to police-involved shootings of black people, many people have jumped to conclusions about race when, in fact, investigations haven’t proven that the implicated cops were motivated by anything other than protecting themselves and the communities they serve.
