Road rage is always dumb, but this case is hard to fathom…

Bystanders were left stunned when an enraged man leapt on to the bonnet of a car before punching and headbutting the windscreen – while it drove along a busy dual carriageway.

The man was captured on camera unleashing his fury as he pounced on the car and hurled abuse at the driver.

Passing pedestrians and cyclists stopped and stared in astonishment as he reigned punches down on the windscreen of the Mercedes convertible before headbutting it.
