Late last month, grammy-winning singer Justin Timberlake came under fire after posting a tweet claiming that, regardless of race, “we’re all the same.” Timberlake apologized to his followers after other Twitter users accused him of “cultural appropriation.”
In the wake of last week’s police-involved fatal shootings and the ambush in Dallas that took five officers’ lives, several celebrities invoked the “#AllLivesMatter” hashtag and took heat for it.
Now it’s singer and actress Jennifer Lopez’s turn. JLo deleted a tweet from her personal account containing the hashtag “#AllLivesMatter” — but some Twitter users grabbed a screenshot of the tweet.

The tweet contained a photo of her performing alongside “Hamilton” creator and star Lin Manuel-Miranda on the “Today” show for a memorial concert honoring victims of the Orlando shooting.
Critics suggested Lopez’s tweet diminished the importance of the Black Lives Matter movement by using the #AllLivesMatter hashtag.
“You always were a white woman, weren’t you?” one user wrote.
“Its sad bc you stole all your hits from black lives @JLo,” wrote another.
