Paul Ryan Rips Democrats Over Sit In

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-Wis) blasted House Democrats on their latest collective temper tantrum, a “sit-in” demanding a vote on gun control legislation.

During his Thursday presser, Ryan slammed Democrats for being Democrats. Okay. That’s not exactly what he said. Ryan did point out, however, that the “gun control” bills Democrats are carping about failed on a bi-partisan basis in both the House and the Senate. “Why?” he asked rhetorically. “Because in this country, you don’t take away people’s rights without due process.”

Does the Party of Debt, Dependency, and Detroit think the House floor is in Cuba?

Ryan also noted that this country has a process in place for passing legislation. Legislation is drafted. It goes through committee. It faces an up or down vote. It may or may not move to the floor for a vote. And so on.

The bills DemoLibs are “sittin” about failed to move forward in the process. (Oh, boo-hoo.) While they may not like the outcome, Ryan pointed out that staging sit-in protests is not how legislation gets passed in this country.

Did DemoLibs not get that memo?

While Democrats continue to confuse the House floor with the Student Union Building at Berkeley, Ryan also pointed out that the House has rules. Order. An organized process for conducting its business. Hello?

Displaying Democrat fund-raising pitches citing the sit-in, Ryan chided sit-in DemoLibs for their “political stunt” on the House floor. He asked, “If this isn’t a political stunt, why are they (Democrats) trying to raise money off it?”

Short answer: Because they’re Democrats. It’s probably the best they can do. Especially when you consider their presumptive presidential nominee is a career kleptocrat.

Ryan said that “despite the distractions, we did our job.” By way of contrast, he noted that Democrats “weren’t interested in advancing the process. They’re interested in stopping the process.” That’s not an open process. That’s halting process.”

In other words, another day at the office for the “3D Party.”

Speaker Ryan’s Thursday comments echo his Wednesday appearance on CNN:

No word yet on when Democrats plan a sit-in to protest CAIR, Middle East genocide under ISIS, or President Obama’s staggering ineptitude on national security and constitutional fidelity.

Don’t hold your breath.
