Asked whether he has any buyer’s remorse about endorsing President Barack Obama, former Secretary of State Colin Powell wholeheartedly said: “None whatsoever.”
The remark came during a pre-taped sitdown with HBO’s Bill Maher, which aired Friday evening. Sec. Powell expanded upon his firm support of the president by declaring that his fellow Republicans have created a culture of staunch opposition to all things President Obama.
Maher also asked Powell whether the GOP would have supported an Obamacare-like plan if the former secretary had been president instead. “Probably not,” he said.
