Texas authorities say at least two people been killed in a shooting at an Air Force base in Texas.
Bexar County sheriff’s spokesman James Keith said Friday that deputies have responded to reports of an active shooter at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Air Force Base, located at 250 Hall Blvd in San Antonio, which is the home of Air Force basic training.
Keith confirmed that two people have died in the shooting and said that “we could have more.”
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Department responded to the air force base for an active shooter around 9 a.m. Friday.
ACTIVE SHOOTER ALERT (REAL WORLD): There is a real world active shooter situation at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Medina Annex and base and local authorities are on the scene at this time.
JBSA-Lackland is currently on lockdown. All schools and child development centers are currently locked down and there have been no injuries confirmed at this time.
Any suspicious or threatening activity should be reported to Security Forces immediately by calling 9-1-1.
