We’ve all been there. We’re exhausted after wrestling with the kids all afternoon and we finally get them to take a nap and the doorbell or a loud knock on the door and all hell breaks loose. Here are some of the notes meant to discourage visitors.

Witty notes: There are countless signs that mothers write as 'Do not disturb' notes while their kids are napping

One of many: For any mum who feels as though she is the only one concerned about her baby waking up while he or she is napping, rest assured in the knowledge that you are not alone

Peace: It would seem that there are thousands of frazzled mothers out there, crying out for an hour off baby duty
